Midnight Sun - Berserker Imperial Stout

Aromas of fig, sweet chocolate, and cherries.  There is a boozyness and toasty notes with hints of coffee.

Flavors are strong sweet maltyness, sweet dark fruit (fig, cherries and dates), coffee, notes of vanilla and oak.  Feel the bitterness and dry hoppyness on the toung.  Hints if toffee...subtle creme brulee notes!

Finish;  Big!...sweet!...Dark fruit!  Coffee hits first with chocolate notes, sweetness comes in and stays throughout.  Dark fruit dominate in the middle and to the end.  The barrel come in towards the end.  This is a big beer...aging might mellow it out...but might just make it sweeter!  I'll find out in two, three and four years!!!...or more.

3 Floyds/Brew Dog - bitch please

Bottle poured a hazy brown with a cooper hue, light brown head that settled, lacing is solid.

Aromas of toffee, oak and peat with notes of hops and subtle maltyness.

Peated Scotch Whisky flavors up front, spicy wood notes follow with hops and bitter malts trailing.

The Finish - It is like drinking a Scotch Whisky in the beginning then transitions to an Imperial IPA.  I was slow coming around to this beer but have come to love it...very different but not too far.
