Avery Brewing - Samael's Oak-Aged Ale

Bottle pours a clear ruby color with no head, fine bubbles collect around the perimeter of the snifter.  Minimal lacing...the viscosity is notable down the side of the snifter while tilted.

Aromas of toffee, alcohol and spicy malts.

Flavors are toffee, carmel, molasses, cherries with hints of citrus and  wood notes, warm alcohol throughout.

The Finish; at 16.45% abv it's expected to notice the alcohol but it's dosent dominate the other flavors.  Sweet and malty...mouth feel is decadent...a lot going on, fairly balanced.  Finishes sweet, dry and boozy!
